About These Population Projections

The GLA’s population projections are updated annually, incorporating the latest data as it becomes available. The 2020-based projections are the most recent set taking as their starting point an adjusted 2020 mid-year population estimate. We produce multiple scenarios and variants to cover a range of applications. The variants can differ in the methodologies and assumptions used.
